Just found this site tonight and learned of Mort's passing, I had him as my instructor at Cabrillo in fall 1978 and fall 1980. Last saw him and had lunch at Lucky Dragon restaurant in Aptos in 1989. Mort was the finest instructor, and really challenged my thinking, and thus he changed my life, and all for the better. Wonderful instructor in writing and English lit, and simply a decent person. Thank you, Mort, you changed my life.
